We've got a number of special programs and events in February at both library branches.
AARP Representative
February 4 @ 1 pm at the South Boston Public Library
Meet and discuss issues with an AARP representative.
Barn Quilt Painting Class
February 23 @ noon @ the South Boston Public Library
Learn how to paint a barn quilt piece for display on your property or business.
Materials will be provided. Wear old clothes and bring a blow dryer. The cost is $60.00 and you may register by calling the South Boston Public Library @ 575-4228.
Drop-In Valentine’s Day Party for Adults
February 14 @ 10:30 am at the Halifax Public Library
Stop in and celebrate Valentine’s Day with refreshments and prize drawings.
Earth 2.0 with Ron Miller
February 5 at 6 pm at the South Boston Public Library
Author, artist, and South Boston resident Ron Miller discusses exoplanets.
OWLS Valentine Party

OWLS stands for Older, Wiser, Learned, Seniors.
Virginia Special Olympics
February 12 at 6:30 pm at the South Boston Public Library
Representatives from Special Olympics Virginia will be at the
library to discuss the great work of their organization.
The YMCA and Race Relations in the South
February 11 @ 6 pm at the Halifax Public Library
Dr. Andrew Canady, Assistant Professor of History and Director of the Honors Program at Averett University, will be speaking at the Halifax Public Library.
We'll also have our regular monthly programs, such as PALS, Code Club, Tea and Book Discussion, Easy Exercise, and any more.
