If you missed Tierra Bethel's program at the South Boston Public Library on Saturday April 9, you missed a good time and a great speaker.
Fortunately, the Halifax County-South Boston Public Library System has several more author talks planned for the coming weeks.
Dr. Annie P. Wimbish, author of the book Rubber Bands on My Socks: The Reflections of a Sharecropper's Daughter-Family, Poverty, Potential, and Progress, will be speaking at the South Boston library on April 19 at 2:00 pm.
Garnette Helvey Bane, former reporter for the Roanoke Times, will be speaking at the South Boston library on April 22 at 2:00 pm. She is the author of the novel Faithfully and has just written a book entitled Y2K +20.
Keith Washo is the author of two books, Heart of Success and Good Things Come From Hard Times. He is a sales and marketing executive, entrepreneur, and President of KDW Consulting. He will be speaking at the South Boston library on May 12 at 6:00 pm.
Refreshments will be served at these programs and the authors will have copies of their books available for purchase and signing.
Make plans now to attend these upcoming programs with these wonderful authors.
