Discover HalifaxVA Weekend Guide: March 10-12

We hope that you've been enjoying this early Spring weather. If you love live music and find sangria to be oh so satisfying, this weekend is for you.  Oh, and share your adventures on social media using #LoveHalifaxVA.

March 10: Live Music at JB's, featuring Craig Hanson. 9 - Midnight March 10: Live Music at Main Street Cafe, featuring Public Consumption. 9 p.m. - 1 a.m. March 11: Sangria Saturday at Sans Soucy Vineyards. 1 - 7 p.m. Sangria, Wine, & Staunton River Brewing Company beer + food truck + live music = fantastic outing March 11: Second Saturday Family Art Day at The Prizery. 2 p.m. $10 per family (includes all supplies). Taught by Susi Robbins March 11: Karaoke at Main Street Cafe. 9 p.m.

March 16: Art for Adults at Halifax County Library in Halifax. 10 a.m. - Noon March 17: OPENING NIGHT of HONK! Jr. at The Prizery. 7:30 p.m. March 17: Live Music at JB's, featuring Matt Boswell. 9 - Midnight March 17: St. Patrick's Day Party! Tailgators Sports Bar & Grill. 8 p.m. March 18: HONK! Jr. at The Prizery. 11 a.m. March 19: HONK! Jr. at The Prizery. 3 p.m.  

March 25: OPENING DAY at South Boston Speedway. Green Flag at 2 p.m.  

 

 

Pssssst! Hey YOU! Don't miss another exciting opportunity to see a STAR...a galaxy, planets, and other amazing celestial objects through the lenses of high-powered telescopes. Curated by astronomers and star-gazers from across the United States, come out to Staunton River State Park's STAR PARTY on Saturday, March 25. FREE. 
 

On Exhibit... "Of Dragons and Fairies" showing in the Bob Cage Gallery at The Prizery through March. FREE admission. 

 

 
On Stage... Halifax County is home to two extraordinary opportunities for live arts. Halifax County Little Theatre and The Prizery bring some of the biggest shows, family favorites, classics, and new and exciting ventures to the stage. The Prizery presents... HONK, Jr.! It is the musical story of Hans Christian Anderson's The Ugly Duckling. Great theatre event for the entire family March 17-26 I Have A Dream: The Life and Times of Martin Luther King, Jr. performed by The Virginia Repertory Theatre. Friday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m.
