The Halifax Town Council is accepting resumes from citizens who are interested in serving on Town Council representing Ward B until a special election is held in November 2016. Eligible candidates must reside in the Town of Halifax within Ward B and be a registered voter. The Ward B boundary runs on the south side of Mountain Road (VA Scenic Byway 360) starting at the corner of Academy Street (Rte #652) heading east and then continuing on the west side of Main Street/Halifax Road (US Hwy 501) heading south to the Halifax Corporate Limits (HCL) near Centerville and then heading northeast on the south side of Golf Course Road (Rte #783) and then continuing southeast on the west side of Cowford Road (Rte #651) until the HCL at Terry's Creek (Ward maps are available upon request). Town Council meets generally the 2nd Tuesday evening of each month and other times as needed.
